Nollywood actor Jide Awobona has spoken concerning the backlash he received for not supporting Funke Akindele while other colleagues did so.
The raging actor took to his Instagram page and addressed the trolls for bashing him when he made a post to clarify that Funke Akindele actually made inquiries about the actress before her death.
Awobona came online and shared with his followers his last discussion about late Jumoke Aderounmu with Funke Akindele. He disclosed how he was trolled, bashed and called all sort of negative names for speaking out about what he knows.
He noted that he’s still grieving the death of his beloved friend coupled with fasting and warning moe y through movie shoots.
The actor spoke out for not joining the trends of Nollywood filmmakers who supported the actress despite been the first to do such.

Kemi Filani reported that Funke took to her Instagram Live yesterday and narrated her side of the story clearing the air about what she knew about Jumoke Aderounmu’s situation. She spoke about how she lost her mother, marriage, and politics and is still trying to get her life back together.
Funke Akindele’s post was after the late Jumoke Aderounmu’s brother dragged her online for abandoning his late sister. He tackled her publicly for mourning her when all efforts to reach her were abortive.
