The union between a popular Yoruba actress, Motilola, and
her Air Force husband, Adekunle, is not in good stead.
Information has it that Ayadekunle as she is fondly called, now goes about without her wedding bands, which has become a thing of concern to some of her close friends.
Haven gotten this, we embarked on thorough investigation on what could have led to the sudden separation. Our investigation revealed that the whole saga started between Motilola and her mother in-law who felt that the actress is too expensive for her son to marry.
Motilola’s husband is an Air Force officer who was transferred to the north a couple of years ago. But
as a responsible man, Adekunle always plays his role by sending money for the upkeep of his wife and child as at when due. Their child is said to be schooling in one of the expensive boarding schools in south west, Nigeria. This did not go down well with the mother in-law when she heard
about it which we gathered caused the separation.
We however spoke to Motilola to confirm this claim and she said,”it is not true, my relationship with my mother in-law is intact. So you mean you heard the story that far? Nawa o. I wonder how you got to know about this”.
Having denied the claim, Motilola posted this on her BlackBerry Display Picture,”You meet someone and you think that’s your final bus stop…. Then they start behaving like a conductor”. It was also gathered that Adekunle has been making frantic efforts to resolve the issue with his
wife, but she is reportedly bent on ending the marriage and not ready to return to her matrimonial home.
Motilola Adekunle is a popular actress who joined the Yoruba movie scene about a decade ago.
The Ondo State-born worked at the Ondo State Radiovision Corp and moved to Radio Nigeria
before she finally relocated to Lagos to work at Galaxy Television where she later resigned to pursue her career in movie making. She was a Reporter/ Newscaster at Galaxy Television. She got married to an Ibadan man a few years ago.
