Popular Nigerian celebrities Davido and Emmanuella both lost to popular Ugandan start by Eddy Kenzo, at the favourite African star category of the 2018 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award award ceremony took place in Inglewood, California, US, on Sunday and the winner was determined by votes, among other considerations.
The defeat is indeed a shock to many viewers as everyone expected either of the Nigerian entertainers, particularly Emmanuella, to take home the awards owing to their popularity across the world.
The Ugandan star who won the award in their stead took to his Facebook page to share the good news.
Eddy Kenzo, whose birth name is Edrisa Musuuza, is best known for his 2014 song ‘Sitya Loss’.
In 2017, he released ‘Sembera Eno’ and ‘Jubilation’, two songs which were big hits in Uganda
