Basketmouth and Elsie got married on November 6, 2010.
According to the love story shared by the comedian who is currently one of Nigeria’s most influential humour merchants, they met in 2003 before deciding to tie the knot in 2010. ‘I met her in 2003, I fell in love with her in 2004, we dated for 6 years and in November 2010, the journey to forever started,’ he said.
The couple met at the University of Lagos where Elsie was an undergraduate of Creative Arts. Basketmouth had just finished a performance at the school when Elsie walked up to him to tell him he is her favorite comedian. They exchanged numbers and the rest became history.
