According to news reports, Jussie Smollett, has been arrest by the Chicago PD for making a false police report.
You would recall that the “Empire” star filed a report in January that he was the victim of an homophobic attack by two men.
Only last week, the police confirmed that the persons of interest arrested in the case, two Nigerian brothers, had confessed to rehearsing the attacks with a Smollett.
Local media reports that “the brothers are cooperating with the investigation.”
Since stating on a Wednesday, February 20, 2019, that an “aggressive defense would be mounted” against the felony charge which Smollett has now been arrested over, his legal team is yet to make an official statement.
We also reported that Smollett’s roles in the hit TV series has been slashed by its directors, as the writers are working to change the original script which saw the actor perform in all nine episodes, as well as a massive musical.
However, the reports have revealed that the musical has been scrapped with his roles made into minor ones in only four episodes.
Since the news of Smollett’s possible involvement in the case, mocking movie posters turned up, ridiculing the actor.
