Empire actor, Jussie Smollett may have been complicit in the homophobic attack on him weeks ago in Chicago.
Although there has been no official statement from the police, sources told US media that Jussie Smollett may have orchestrated his own attack by paying two Nigerian brothers, Ola and Abel Osundairo who work as extras on Empire to attack him.
Smollett’s lawyers have, however, denied he had a hand in the attack he claimed to have been carried out by two white men who changed Make America Great Again (MAGA).
The lawyers, Todd Pugh and Victor Henderson said, “Jussie Smollett is angered and devastated by recent reports that the perpetrators are individuals he is familiar with. He has now been further victimised by claims attributed to these alleged perpetrators that Jussie played a role in his own attack. Nothing is further from the truth and anyone claiming otherwise is lying.”
The two Nigerian brothers were earlier questioned by the police but released on Friday.
