President Donald Trump has reacted to the attack on Empire actor Jussie Smollet. The actor was beaten by two men who put a noose round his neck as they chanted homophobic slur at him.
Police report also say the two men used chemical substance on the actor who later got hospitalized.
According to the Jussie Smollett, he heard them scream “this is MAGA country” as they fled.
MAGA is Donald Trump’s campaign slogan which fully says Make America Great Again. This has made many think the act was perpetrated by his supporters.
When Trump was made aware of the attack on Jussie Smollett, he said briefly:
“That I can tell you is horrible. I’ve seen it… last night. It doesn’t get worse, as far as I’m concerned.”
