Ghanaian broadcaster, Anita Erskine has slammed woman who call themselves women empowerment advocates but go about hiring little girls as housemaids.
It is quite common to see newly married ladies in Africa claim to be feminists who are out to ensure a better living for the girl child. However, what they do behind closed doors is quite different from what they preach in the open.
Many of them have deprived little girls of the actual things they claim they are fighting to ensure all females enjoy in life.
Finding their hypocrisy sickening, Anita Erskine took to Twitter to slam such women.
She tweeted:
“So these women who calling themselves Women Empowerment Advocates. But bring 9,10,11 year old girls from their hometowns to work as maids & deny them THEIR right to decent living & education – which Woman are you really advocating for??I’ve just encountered one & I’m FUMING!!!!”
