John Mikel Obi has has said he is ready to lead Nigeria on the part of victory again in the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations set to hold in Egypt.
The former Chelsea player said in Asaba, that he is happy with the progress the team has made so far, disclosed that he fitted in seamlessly as he knows Super Eagles team and the coach and also ready to lead them again. He said;
“I’m really happy to be back in the team and I’m happy with the progress made so far. I fitted in seamlessly because it was not a problem for me as I have great understanding of the team and the coach very well.
“I needed rest because I was struggling with injuries but now I’m ready to lead the team again. The best team will win the AFCON and we are up for it as we are training twice a day.”
