Actress Maryam Booth has broken silence on a leaked unclad video of her by accusing her ex-boyfriend Deezell of being the brain behind it.
The video was leaked last week and immediately went viral on social media. It showed the Kannywood actress totally unclad and trying to get dressed.
Reacting to the video, Maryam Booth issued a statement seen in the screenshots below.
Deezell has now responded to the allegation leveled against him. In a statement he issued, he gave the concerned quarters 24 hours to apologize for the accusation or face legal action from him. See the screenshots below for his statement.
Since the video went viral, Maryam Booth has been getting support from fellow Kannywood stars.
Actor Ali Nuhu stood with her by sharing on social media:
“Oh Allah, nothing is easy except that which you have made easy. I pray you make it easy for her at this trying period. Stay strong daughter and may Allah protect us from the plot of enemies.”
Actress Rahama Saudu, followed his footsteps by praying for Maryam Booth:
“Anyone who humiliates another, God will disgrace him. God is enough for what they did to Maryam Booth.”
Actor Sani Danja pointed out that “Only Allah can bring down someone, not a fellow human being.”
Actor Yakubu Muhammad condemned those behind the leak of the video. He wrote:
“Stay strong, Maryam. This is not the end of your life. Do all the crying now but get ready to battle and rise above this. We are solidly behind you. Allah will see you through.”
