Actor Yomi Fash Lanso got shunned by many of his colleagues in the movie industry yesterday when he marked his birthday.
The likes of Mercy Aigbe, Iyabo Ojo, Toyin Abraham, Mid Martins and others chose to celebrate actress Adunni Ade instead. As a matter of fact the public display of affection, Adunni Ade received from her colleagues made her shed tears but same can not be said of actor Yomi Fash as he is not in good terms with many of his colleagues.
Kemi Filani News gathered that for sometime now, popular actor, Yomi Fash-lanso has been off the social scene,and likewise his appearance in the movies has declined.
A source revealed that he has been a low key especially after the drama that occurred after he was made one of the spokesperson for the burial committee set up for late actress Moji Olaiya years ago.
In a post by Fash-Lanso on his Instagram account back in 2017, the actor condemned his colleagues for criticising Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State for not coming to the rescue of the late actress’ family in bringing home her corpse from Canada. He also cautioned the burial committee, some of whom he claimed criticised Fayose, adding that the attitude of Nollywood members towards the demise of the actress should be condemned.
However the statement did not sit well with some of his colleagues, who felt that as the Public Relations Officer of their national body, there were ways he could have handled the situation without trying to drag the name of the burial committee members in the mud. Since then, he has been abandoned to play solo.
Only a few of them, the likes of Faithia Williams, Pasuma and Seun Ogungbe chose to celebrate him on his birthday.
