Billionaire mogul and Chairman, Premier Lotto, Chief Kessington Adebukunola Adebutu is bereaved. He has lost one of his wives.
The billionaire’s wife, Chief Mrs Rosemary Adebutu died this morning, Saturday, January 9 in her Lagos home.
Available reports said that she was hale and hearty until this weekend when she suddenly developed mild ailment.
According to the source, Mrs. Adebutu developed a severe cold and malaria symptom and was rushed to St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos where she was confirmed ‘brought in dead’.
The deceased is the mother of Adebutu’s popular daughter and former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s estranged daughter-in-law, Temitope Adebutu-Obasanjo.
Kemi Filani News recalls that former President Olusegun Obasanjo spoke on the crashed marriage between his son, Olujuwon and the daughter of his friend, a prominent philanthropist, Chief Kesington Adebutu, months ago. The children of the two prominent Nigerians got married in May 2017 but later broke up nearly one year later.
Speaking during the conferment of first honorary member on Adebutu at the 45th President’s party of Abeokuta Sports Club, Obasanjo, who handled the conferment on Adebutu on behalf of the club, said their children got married of their own volition hence, he and his friend should not be made to pay for the consequence of the crashed marriage.
He said, “The honoree of today has rendered marvelous services to Egbaland. The Park Inn, which is the old Gateway Hotel, would have still remained in derelict if not for the services, commitment of the honoree.
“One thing you never said about him and I wonder why the citation left that out, you know not too long ago my son and your daughter on their own decided to get married but what happened to their marriage is between them, not between us.”
In 2017, the wealthy lotto magnate who began the first Lotto company in Nigeria, Premiere Lotto Limited, lost one of his wives, Olaide Abimbola Adebutu. She was said to have passed on due to old age two days to her 74th birthday.
She was laid to rest at the Ikoyi Vaults and Gardens.
