Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie is currently in a state of mourning as she celebrates her birthday today.
This comes barely a few days after the actress took to her social media page to confirm she has forgiven ailing Nigerian comedian Ada Jesus for peddling rumours about her and controversial clergy Odumejeje.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, the actress said she could not celebrate her birthday following her niece’s death.
She captioned the post thus: MY NIECE MARTHA NWOSISI WILL BE LAID TO REST TODAY. TODAY 16TH APRIL IS MY BIRTHDAY BUT CAN NOT CELEBRATE IT. REST ON MARTHA FOR GOD ALMIGHTY KNOWS THE BEST.
Reacting to the post, some fans and Nollywood stars such as Anita Joseph, Ngozi Ezeonu, Yul Edochie and many others stormed her comment section with condolence messages.

Kemifilani recalled that the actress who vowed never to forgive Ada Jesus took to her Instagram page to share a video of herself saying she is happy that she has been vindicated.
According to the actress, many fans had beckoned on her to forgive the erring comedian. She also warned people who insult men of God to desist from such act, and Ada Jesus’ condition should serve as a lesson to others.
