Controversial Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has cried out over how celebrities are being abused and disrespected in Nigeria.
In a video making the rounds on social media, the actress said Nigerians need to travel abroad to see and learn how celebrities are appreciated.
According to the actress, many Nigerians, instead of appreciating these celebrities who put smiles on their faces, would rather make fun and mockery and thereafter storm the international stars social media page to praise them.
Nkechi Blessing, who express displeasure over the act, said Nigerians take every little chance to insult and disrespect celebrities.
She added that until every individual decides to change attitude, everything will start working again because the hate is too much.
In her words: Let me say this thing that has been bordering me, Nigerians you all need to travel abroad to see how they appreciate our work, how they appreciate us being an entertainer be it in the movie or music, anything entertainment but you people back home instead of celebrating people who bring smiles to your face, you rather call them yeyebrities.
It is well but you people go on the page of international stars and praise them but once it comes to one of your own in Nigeria, you take any chance to insult, abuse and disrespect them no wahala, the problems is in you people’s hand. I think when we change our attitude as an individual, the country will start working again. but no the hate is just too much.
KFN recalls that Nkechi Blessing recently opened up on why she did not post her wedding photos on social media.
The 32-year-old claimed to have been married to her politician boyfriend, Opeyemi, but she prefers to show her man excess love privately and not on social media.
Nkechi added that anyone interested in seeing celebrities relationship on social media should check her colleague’s page because her relationship is not for entertainment.
According to controversial, she does not plan to entertain social media users with updates about her marriage, hence deciding to keep her marriage private.
Speaking further, the curvy actress said her aim to to have a successful marriage and not a wedding.
