Former Super Falcons player, Chi Chi Igbo, also known as Chified, has opened up on why she ventured into music after dumping her amazing football career.
Chi Chi Igbo who used to play for Nigerian female national team, the super falcons, dumped music and moved to Nigeria.
According to her, she was advised to go into music by popular Nigerian blogger and media mogul, Linda Ikeji.
Chi Chi took to her verified Instagram page to share a video of herself performing for an elated crowd and wrote, “Humble beginnings … I been making music since 2011. ‘Rather be hated’ music video was a hit even though I never promoted it. Thanks to @officiallindaikeji for the motivation to go into music Cos I needed a way to tell the world to continue to keep my name in their mouths Cos I won’t change! I may not be perfect in the field but I got a voice and you MUST HEAR ME! New music loading… thanks for the support so far guys, I really appreciate, but I’m just warming up, so hang tight. Get your dancing shoes ready, it’s gonna be a jiggy year”
