The Department of State Services (DSS) on Thursday night, comfirmed the attack on the residence of Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeniyi Adeyemo aka Igboho residence in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Igboho’s house was invaded in the early hours of today around 2am.
The invasion reportedly lasted till around 5am.
The DSS while confirming the raid, paraded 11 men and a woman arrested after the fierce battle.
The agency’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Peter Afunanya, on Thursday night said the operatives recovered a cache of arms including seven AK-47 rifles and thousands of ammunition from Igboho’s house.
He said the suspects were taken to Abuja while Igboho escaped.
Afunanya stressed that the operatives has launched a manhunt for Igboho, adding that he will be tracked.
