Denola Gray’s Biography
His real name is Adenola Adepetun, born on the 13th of August 1990 to a well to do family in Lagos state. He has two brothers who he is fond of sharing their photos on his social media account.
He had a hard time growing up owing to his feminine nature and battled with depression for 20 years. He revealed he tried to adjust to society’s expectations as a man but found out he was becoming empty. Denola Gray would later forsake the opinion of others about him and stood his ground.
Education
He went to Greenspring Schools, Lagos, for his primary and secondary education.
He then bagged a bachelor’s degree in Media Business, majoring in Analysis of the Media and Fashion Market from Baylor University, Texas.
Before returning to Nigeria for his National Youth Service, he worked as a fashion PR in New York.
Career
Denola Gray started his career working in the media and fashion industry as a consultant for brands. He began as an 18-years-old intern working at CMC in 2008. In 2010 he moved to Fruition Image Consulting, where he was the PR manager. After two years, he joined PRC Consulting in 2012, where he got the opportunity to organise the New York Fashion Week and a launch party for ACNE Paper magazine. He was the social media manager at Walter Baker in 2013. He would later work with a Lagos-based fashion brand, ALARA Lagos, where he was exposed to the rudiments of fashion.
In 2014, he ventured into the media industry and worked with the likes of EbonyLife TV, Bella Naija, and The Guardian. At EbonyLife TV, he provided fashion tips for men, he wrote in the fashion category for BellaNaija and at The Guardian, he was the fashion columnist.
As an actor, he has acted in a number of movies; notable among them is the popular TV series, Castle and Castle, where he acted alongside RMD and Eku Edewor.
