Kayode Egbetokun embarked on his career in the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet ASP (Course 16) on March 3, 1990.
He has served in various commands, formations, and departments within the police force. He began as the Chief Security Officer to the Governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2005. Subsequently, he held the position of Commander RRS Lagos State Command from 2005 to 2007. He also served as O/C Anti-Fraud in the FCT Command in Abuja and as CSP Admin in the Lagos State Command. Throughout his career, he held the roles of Area Commander in Osogbo, Osun State, and Gusau, Zamfara State.
Moreover, Egbetokun assumed leadership positions such as Commandant of the Police Training School (PTS) in Ikeja, Lagos State, and Deputy Commandant of the Police College in Ikeja, Lagos State.
