Jhene Aiko was born on 16th March 1988 in the home of Dr. Karamo Chilombo & Christine Yamamoto. The descent of her mother is Japanese-Spanish, whereas Aiko’s father is of African American descent. The majority of Jhene’s early childhood was spent in Ladera Heights, California. She has two siblings, named Miyagi & Miyoko.

Her career started at a very young age of 14 years, with some B2K releases in 2002. She signed with the Ultimate Group having Chris Stokes as her manager.
