At least 2 teachers, and a nurse, in Otta, Ogunstate, were allegedly injured on, March 10, when SS1 students led thugs to attack staffs of the school after a teacher seized their phone.
It was gathered that on Wednesday 10th March 2021, the Physics teacher caught some SS 1 students watching pornography on a phone while she was in the class teaching. She seized the phone and gave it to the higher authority of the School to correct the students involved.
The School authority asked the student involved to bring his parent so that they will be intimated about what the student was found doing for proper monitoring and care after which the phone will be given to the parent but alas, a man identified as Dayo came for the phone the next day asking the School authority to give him back the force aggressively.
He made some calls to bring in thugs to intimidate the teachers of the school. Before the police could get to the school, thugs invaded the school With planks and other weapon harassing all the helpless teachers that ran for safety.
The SS1 student picked up a big stone and hit Mrs Adenekan, before he descend on the woman hitting her with blows many times on her face.
The School nurse was not spared as he sustained injuries on his face. The two victims were taken to Ota general hospital for treatment.
The case was reported to The Nigerian police and the mother and child of the notorious SS1 student were charged to court. The family could not afford the 250k charge by the Judge of the Magistrate Court 2 at the premises of Ota High court today and so was to remain in prison until 29th of March when the court will begin hearing of the case.
One of the Excos of ASUSS ADO ODO OTA was fully on the ground from the police station to the court, back to General Hospital for further check-up and treatment which report was submitted to the police station until later this evening.
