Legendary Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, better known as 2baba or 2face, has left many talking as he pokes fun at his mother, Rose Idibia.
During his performance at comedian Capella’s show ‘Two Kings & A Guy’ at Eko Hotel, Lagos, on Sunday, 2face addressed rumours of his disappearance, dispelling concerns about his safety and well-being.
Poking fun at the rumours, 2face said he was at the show to generate money for kidnappers to release him.
“Okay, you know what’s happening—allegedly I have been missing, I have been kidnapped. As we came for Acapella’s show—this show is to generate money for the kidnappers to release,” he said humorously during the event”.
His statement didn’t sit right with many netizens who slammed him for mocking his mother.

2face’s mother, who is against their engagement, had made a passionate appeal to Natasha. She begged the Edo lawmaker to remove the beads she kept on her son’s hands and neck and free him. Rose noted how her son was going through a divorce process from Annie and as such, wasn’t in his right senses.
The singer’s family had even filed a petition to the DSS calling for the intervention of the singer from Natasha. His family claimed that the legendary singer had been missing and was last seen in his loungewear.
Defending herself, Speaking out, Natasha revealed that the bead 2face is wearing was given to her by her granddad, who got it from the late queen of England. She explained that the beads were just traditional beads, which 2face liked and wore them. She made it known that there wasn’t anything diabolical about the beads.
Recall that after announcing his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, 2baba, in a video via his Instagram page, confirmed his relationship with Edo State lawmaker, Natasha Igbinedion. He revealed that he loves Natasha and wants to marry her. 2baba made it known that she had nothing to do with the breakdown of his marriage to Annie and claimed that he and Annie have an understanding.
Following the news, a video of 2face proposing to Natasha made rounds online, which she gladly accepted. The singer stated that their love will survive.
