Isabella Idibia, the daughter of legendary singer, 2face, and actress, Annie Idibia has vented out over her parents’ portrayal on Netflix’s Young, Famous and African reality show.
In a Question and Answer video posted on her YouTube channel, she expressed sadness at how her parents were portrayed in a wrong light and to make it worse, whenever she tries defending them, people tackle her, stating that she is too young.
Isabella noted how these people aren’t in her family and only depend on social media for information concerning their marriage. The teen noted how she can’t change everyone’s perspective as people on social media would always believe whatever they wanted to believe. However, the stories are untrue and her parents weren’t given the best image.
“I don’t like the way my parents were portrayed in Young, Famous and African. They were portrayed so wrong. Whenever I try to back them up, people would be like that’s not what happened. You guys aren’t in my family, your knowledge is based on what you see on social media. I know it because I have been in the house with my parents, and I can’t change everyone’s perspective. People on social media will always think whatever they want to think, but honestly, they would never know the actual true story. They weren’t given the best image and it wasn’t accurate”.
Recall that during their time on the reality show, the couple made headlines over their turbulent marriage. During an episode on Season 1, Annie Idibia broke down in tears as she spoke about how embarrassing it was that her husband has five kids with two other women.
She noted how she met 2face before every other woman the reason she takes everything so personally and because of the bond they have shared. Unfortunately for her, she had been subjected to many humiliations and embarrassment and would always question how 2face made the same mistake twice.
In another episode, she pleaded with Nigerians to stop scrutinizing her marriage, as she begged critics to give her marriage a break.
She noted how many are hoping and praying that the actress air her marital dramas online, which has left her skeptical of her inner circle.
To worsen things, 2face on the show had left many enraged as he justified cheating, stating that a man can love a woman and still cheat on her because of his sexual cravings.
