Let’s look at Nigerian actors who have become full-time gospel preachers…
God’s love may encourage people to do great things, such as becoming pastors. Some Nollywood actors have given up their worldly lifestyles, forsaken bad habits, and made big life changes as a result of their love for God.
These Nollywood actors and actresses either combined the two professions or left acting to become pastors.
The four actors who turned into gospel preachers are listed below;
1. Okafor, Charles
Charles Okafor is a well-known Nollywood actor who took a long break before making a comeback in Uche Jombo’s film “Misplaced.” Before leaving, he earned a reputation for himself by debuting alongside Saint Obi, Zack Orji, and Richard Mofe Damijo.
2. Liz Benson
Elizabeth Benson, often known as Liz Benson, is a seasoned Nollywood actress who made her debut in 1993 on the popular Nigerian television soap opera “Fortunes.” She had a great performing career before becoming an evangelist at the Rainbow Christian Assembly Church in Warri, Delta State.
3. Sylvester Madu
After surviving a horrible accident in 2015, Sylvester Madu became a preacher. He continued to perform, but he had to balance it with his ministry responsibilities. He married actress and model Ify Ubah in 2019. Madu works at Christ Embassy Ministries, a church on Eric Moore Road in Surulere, Lagos.
4. Majid Michel
Majid Michel, a Ghana-born Nollywood actor, has also expressed a desire to preach the faith. He is one of the few performers on our list who has effectively combined performing and evangelism.
Majid Michel, unlike his other Nollywood peers who quit acting after discovering Christ, is still working in the profession.
