These six Nollywood actresses were fortunate to escape with their lives.
1. Stephanie Okereke
Stephanie Okereke was on her way to the Africa Movie Academy Awards in April 2005 when she was killed in a car accident that burned her face and body and shattered one of her legs.
A tanker with malfunctioning brakes swerved and collided with her car, generating an instant eruption of fire plumes.
Okereke, who is a devout Christian, feels that she is alive today because of God’s favour.
2. Ibinabo Fiberesima
Fiberesima was driving along the Lekki-Epe expressway on February 26, 2006, when she lost control of the wheel, drifted into the inbound lane, and crashed into Suraj Giwa’s automobile, killing him.
The deceased worked as a doctor at Lagos General Hospital. Rumours circulated that she was driving drunk. In a statement to the family and Nigerians, the actress claimed that she was not inebriated on the day of the accident and expressed her heartfelt regret.
3. Njemanze, Ann
Ann Njemanze, best known for her part in Domitila, was killed in a car accident while riding as a passenger. When the accident occurred, she was returning from a location.
Calabar, Cross River State, was the site of the deadly accident. She was paralyzed for about two years and was operated on five times. Her chin still bears the scar from the accident.
4. Uche Jumbo
Uche Jumbo was driving her FJ Cruiser when she was involved in a head-on accident with another vehicle in June 2011.
The incident happened late at night along the Lekki-Chevron area in Lagos.
5. Bukky Wright
Bukky Wright was involved in an automobile accident in Epe on July 16, 2012. Her Nissan Pathfinder had been severely damaged. She was later brought to the hospital, where she was treated.
6. Regina Daniels
Regina Daniels, a Nollywood actress, and her brother Sammy were engaged in an accident on the eve of Christmas in Delta State in 2019. When the accident occurred, they were driving with two other pals. Thankfully, no casualties were reported.
