Nollywood star, Funke Akindele has given a response to Twitter trolls who called for her arrest for celebrating her husband’s birthday yesterday.
Kemi Filani News recounts that Funke Akindele was called out by Twitter users for hosting her husband’s birthday party at her home in Amen Estate and having guests including celebrities at the occasion.
Although her husband, JJC Skillz has defended her, Funke has also reacted, stating that she didn’t go against the rules of the government by celebrating the birthday party which definitely hosted more than 50 persons including Naira Marley and Eniola Badmus.
According to her, they were in the middle of filming her soon-to-be released movie before the lockdown started and after the lockdown kicked off they were all camped at Amen Estate so for that reason everyone at the party was safe, healthy and free from the deadly Coronavirus.
She replied a Twitter user thus:
”Uncle don’t create unnecessary sensation. #omoghettothesaga was to be filmed Before the lockdown and some of us had been camped in Amen estate. So we had to stay in there. So we are safe and happy!!! Let’s not be NEGATIVE!!”
