Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Yetunde Bakare is one of the role interpreters making waves in the Yoruba sector of Nollywood.
Bakare, like her other colleagues also focuses on her side hustle, stating that acting alone wasn’t paying her bills.
Speaking in a chat with Kemi Filani News, the Nollywood damsel and mother of one said:”Acting alone wasn’t paying my bills. As you can see all of my colleagues, they have one business or the other.I had to diversify.I had to try something new. Something that can be giving me money because I have a lot of responsibilities. My son has finished secondary school, he is in University level and all that.So acting alone wasn’t paying the bills anymore”.
She also noted that as one grows older, a lot of things change.
You know as you grow older, as you grow in every aspect, a lot of things will change. Your taste, even the way you spend. So acting alone wasn’t paying the bills anymore so I to diversity, do other businesses. I tried a lot of things. I had to learn how to make wigs and all that. God has been faithful”.
