Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo has declared undying love for his colleague, Funke Akindele, over the actress’s big step to joining Nigerian politics.
Alex Ekubo took to Instagram to commend Funke Akindele’s boldness for taking up the challenge rather than sitting and complaining as most people do.
The contemporary Nollywood actor claimed he had always been proud of Funke Akindele and her journey, stating her new move had given him a good start for the day.
Alex Ekubu also urged other entertainers to participate in politics as they are more than the tv screen because they can be anything they want to be.
He further declared his love for Funke Akindele for accepting to be a breath of fresh air in Lagos state.
“I’ve always been proud of @funkejenifaakindele & her journey, waking up to this news this morning, started me off nicely.
We can’t continue to sit on the side line & complain, we must get involved & that’s what Funke is showing us, we as entertainers are more than the tv screen. We can we will be anything we want to be.

Funke Akindele appreciated Alex Ekubo’s message, responding to the praises, claiming it is time for positive change.

Alex Ekubo welcomed his best friend to the club of doctorate degrees holders.
