Some social media users have attacked Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo for celebrating and calling Desmond Elliot a good man.
According to these people, the actor cum politician is not a good man, neither is he worth celebrating.
This is following the incident that happened a few months ago after a video of the honourable speaking Nigerian youths and supporting the social media regulation bill, went viral.
Kemi Filani recalls that a Twitter user identified as @DrOlufunmilayo had earlier tweeted that the actor is the one pushing the Lagos state house of assembly to develop a bill to regulate and control speech on social media. The tweet which caught the attention of many on social media and the lawmaker was dragged, blasted and disgraced for supporting such bill.
Taking to Instagram to celebrate the veteran actor, Alex wrote;
“Happy Birthday @desmondelliot DesiMbong, you know I appreciate you sir. You are a good man.”
Alex’s birthday message to Desmond has however generated lots of negative comment on his page.
