In a recent interview, Nollywood actor Olaiya Igwe has apologized to Nigerians over his campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tenebrou. Recall that last year, he had gone naked while fully campaigning for Tinubu.
Taking to social media, he shared his regret at his actions m. He begged Nigerians to forgive him as he promised to do better.
However, Netizens did not buy his apology as they took to his comment section to slam him.
One netizen known as LegitDollaface slammed him, expressing that if given the chance he would do it again. He says,
“politics, don’t fall for it, he will still campaign and vote for him again.”
One Elogram had this to say,
“don’t worry, Tinubu go reach everybody.”
Another netizen known as TheRealUchman had this to say,
“just come out boldly and beg for money, if you want to. Stop acting like you don’t know what you’re doing.”
Another netizen known as Westpapa had this to say,
“may this government favour me and my family.” This was accompanied with a laughing emoji.
Recall that back in 2023, Seun Kuti had slammed Peter Obi while he campaigned for Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He had called out Peter Obi for being an opportunist who was using the current clamour in Nigeria to set himself up for the election. He had also revealed back in October of 2023 that the current President Bola Ahmed Tenebrou was his political mentor because he had fought for democracy.
