Nollywood actress, Peju Johnson, has revealed her possible interest to accept to accept the proposal of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
Recall that the Ooni made headlines when he married 6 women in the space of three months.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, Peju said there is a possibility that she would accept to be the monarch’s wife.
She said,
“I may accept. But, it’s a ‘may be’. I am actually from a royal family in Ile Ife too. But, I am not a fan of going (marrying) into a royal family. I prefer regular people. Also, I have always said that I don’t want to marry from my town. Men from Ile Ife are a different breed.”
The actress stated that she often got favour from her male fans. She said, “I have sweet fans all around that care about me.”
Asked to recount a memorable moment she had had as an actress, Johnson said, “While shooting my movie, ‘Suliya’; one of the actors mistakenly hit my eye, and it affected me to the point that I could neither see clearly nor look into the sun. I thank God that I am fine now, and I’m able to see.”
The actress added that she saw nothing wrong in going under the surgeon’s knife and ‘fixing’ what one does not like about one’s body.”
Asked if she would go under the knife if given the chance, she said, “There is nothing wrong with fixing what one does not like about one’s body if one can afford it. That doesn’t mean one is insecure or one has low self-esteem and zero self-love.”
NBS applies to be Ooni’s wife
Recall that in October, Nkechi Blessing Sunday had applied to be one of the wives of the Ooni of Ife.
The talented actress took to Instagram to share a video of her and the monarch.
According to Nkechi Blessing, she wants to be the Ooni’s next wife and would patiently wait for her turn.
The mother of one provided an Instagram page for the Ooni to reach her through.
“Ooni of Ife sir I am patiently waiting for my turn. Thank you in advance sir, you can reach me thru #idrisconnectingnigeria”.
In a follow up, the controversial actress via her verified Instagram page 8 shared an image of herself wrapped in an all white ensemble like a new bride.
Her caption pointed that she still aims at becoming one of Ooni of Ife’s wives.
“OLORI Nkechi Blessing Sunday 😍 Her Royal highnesses the queen of ile ife kingdom❤️📌 #incomingbride,” she wrote.
