Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has joined the list of celebrities lamenting over the economy as he revealed one of the songs of Psquare he has been connecting with.
Taking to his Snapchat page, he stated that this is the year Psquare should have song one of their hit songs, ‘E No Easy,’ so they could feature him and he could express his feelings for verse 3.
“Na this year Psquare suppose sing ‘E No Easy’. Make them feature me, make I express my feelings for verse 3”.
Some weeks back, Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem’s former housemate Saga Adeolu had lamented over the mini amala he was served at a wedding. He noted how the economic hardship was responsible for it, as he called out the President, noting how he was the cause of this.
As the economy continues to go downhill, many celebrities have cried out over the economic hardship and prizes of foodstuffs. In July, the ex-wife of billionaire businessman Musa Danjuma, Caroline Danjuma, lamented over the exorbitant prices of foodstuff as she visited the market. Sharing her market plight, she questioned how Nigerians are coping.
Similarly, Nkechi Blessing had lamented after spending N150k on a few foodstuffs at Sunday market in Ogba. She questioned what was the way forward, as she noted how Nigerians aren’t complaining about the economy anymore as she questioned if they are comfortable with the hardship.
In June, actress, Uche Elendu had lamented over the price of a crate of egg. The movie star, revealed that a crate of egg is being sold for N6000 in her area. Calling out the government, she told them to ban egg in the country as she expressed doubts that a fowl laid the egg.
Yoruba actress, Yewande Adekola Abiodun had also lamented bitterly over the price of a bag of Garri, which is being sold for N80,000. She noted how Garri used to be a poor man’s food, but now, it has become expensive.
During the festive period, last year, Mary Njoku had cried out over the hardship and state of the economy in the country, revealing that she went shopping and spent N100k at the supermarket, yet her trolley was not full.
