It is a tough time for Nollywood actor Afeez Owo and his family as he loses his father.
In an Instagram post on Friday, the Yoruba movie producer revealed that he has lost his father as he expressed how saddened he is. He told his late father to rest well as he bade him fare well.

BBNaija Hermes Iyele in November, had announced the demise of his mother. He stated that he was making the announcement public so he could properly start his grief and also because he lacked the strength or capacity to handle the situation. He urged the public to pray for them as well as assist them.
Afeez adds to the list of celebrities who have lost their parent this year. In September, Popular skit maker Nasty Blaq lost his mother. In a brief post, Nasty Blaq prayed that God give him the strength to heal as he noted how his mother’s death was a great loss to his family.
Back in May, singer Chinedu Okoli, better known as Flavour, had lost his beloved father. The singer made the sad news known on his Twitter page, with a touching throwback video of him singing to his father. In his caption, he called his father Papa Ijele and told him to rest well.
In May, actress, Faithia Williams had lost her father. She announced his demise on her Instagram page, as she expressed sadness over his death and prayed his soul rests in peace. The likes of Tawa Ajisefinni, Foluke Daramola Salako, Bimpe Akintunde, Joke Silva, Yinka Quadri, and others consoled her.
In December of 2023, Chizzy Alichi lost her dear father, which led her to a social media break down. She revealed how his death had turned her life upside down, as she over his inability to carry his grandchildren.
Actress, Mimi Orjiekwe had also lost her beloved father, Ozo Dr Thomas Chukwuike Orjiekwe, after a brief illness. In a press statement, she expressed how words alone can’t express the extent of the hurt they felt following his transition and how badly she will miss him.
To add to it, Mercy Johnson Okojie lamented as she announced the death of her father, describing it as the greatest pain. The mother of four vowed to keep asking God for the rest of her life why he took her father’s life.
