Nollywood actor Afeez Oyetoro, better known as Saka, has opened up on his personal life.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, he shared how the woman he once wanted to marry insisted he must have two cars, which he couldn’t, and their love ended.
The veteran also spoke about getting married at 40. Saka said the only difference is that he pays school fees with grey hair. Speaking of his wife, he stated that marrying her was his best decision ever.
He also talked about how people assumed he was an Etisalat ambassador, when in reality, he was just a model on the centre spread.
“I wanted to go for Glo, but I was afraid. If I breached the contract, maybe I’d still be in prison today”.
Afeez reflected on how one MTN advert changed everything and took him from that funny man to a national icon.
Speaking on his hair loss, he said he lost his hair not to age, but to a theatre role in University. According to him, they shaved his head for a part, and it never grew back.
He also addressed rumours that he is a sub, letting people know that once he leaves the stage or camera, he isn’t the same Afeez as he is a little reserved.
Years ago, the Yoruba actor and his wife, Saidat Olaide, celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary. The popular actor recounted his ordeal with women, including his wife, before he got married.
In a past interview with Punch, Afeez revealed that his biggest triumph was overcoming temptation from some of his numerous female admirers. He recalled how, in 2016, some women tried to seduce him, but he was able to resist them.
He also swore that since he got married, he has never had an extramarital affair, as it isn’t in his character to chase women around.
