Nollywood actor, Alesh Sanni had joined his colleagues to defend Funke Akindele amid allegations of abandoning her junior colleague, Jumoke Aderounmu.
Kemi Filani reported that the late actress’ brother, Adeola Aderounmu had dragged Funke Akindele claiming that the movie star abandoned his sister during her trying times. He further exposed the movie star for faking her love for her staff.
Defending her, Alesh stated that he wasn’t one to say much about people he didn’t know, but the news about Funke Akindele weakened him. According to him, Funke is someone that do things without making noise.
He recalled how years ago when he posted someone who needed a huge amount for medical bills, she reached out and sent the money and told him not to post it. He noted how it wasn’t once or twice, Funke had done this.
Admonishing people not to say what they don’t know about her, he sent a message to the movie star, telling her that the Lord is her strength and she wouldn’t bury any of her children.
“I do tell people we’re all going through so much… I don’t say much about people I don’t know but this one weak me cos Funke Akindele is someone that do things without making noise years ago when I posted someone who needed huge amount for medical bills, she reached out, and sent all the money, and told me not to post it.. not once, not twice …. So it’s so sad to see how crãzy some people can be …… don’t say what you don’t know about people…. @funkejenifaakindele keep being you ma… the lord is your strength and you won’t bury any of children”.
Similarly, Bimbo Akisanya had defended her Funke Akindele, as she recalled how 10 years ago, the late Folake Oshadare, one of Nollywood’s make-up artists had revealed to her how Funke was sending monthly money for her medication as she was a cancer patient.
Making a case for her, Bimbo noted how Funke isn’t perfect and no one is, but she is sure that Funke is an Angel in her own way and she has her own shortcomings.
Her proteges, Tobi Makinde and Juliana Olayode had also stood up for her as they recalled her sweet gestures to them. Juliana had showered encomium on Funke as she recalled how the movie star emptied her account to save her mother’s life as she was battling Fibroid.
Juliana added that Funke has worked hard to be where she is today and God backed her up.
Tobi Makinde noted how he wouldn’t be who he is today without her love, training, and tutelage. Speaking from experience, he stated that the movie star has been so kind to him and her love for him is not something he will forget in a hurry.
