Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has lashed out at her colleague, Yvonne Jegede, over her apology to May Edochie, the wife of their colleague, Yul Edochie.
Kemi Filani reported that Yvonne Jegede, in an interview on the Honest Bunch podcast, defended Yul Edochie for marrying a second wife as she slammed those criticising him and praising Regina Daniels.
Her statement didn’t sit with many social media users who mercilessly dragged her for being insensitive and ignoring May Edochie’s pains.
Following the backlash, she apologised to her fans and May, stating that she didn’t articulate her words properly to convey her trust intentions and acknowledged May’s pains and hardship during her marriage.
Reacting to it, Angela Okorie called Yvonne a failed actress with no pedigree. She slammed her for being insensitive to another woman’s pain as she noted how Yvonne and her cohort PR said she was mad for propaganda.
She stated that Yvonne showed how low and senseless she was, as she further noted how many Nollywood actresses are used to becoming second wives by snatching people’s husbands, so it is normal to them. She further lashes out at her for making a public apology to May, as she took a swipe at her for still being dùmb despite her longevity in the industry.
“Failed actress with no pedigree, person go just open mouth wah like person wey get diarrhoea of the mouth dey insult another woman’s pain like wtf. Na, so this idiot and her useless cohort PR say their mama dey mad, just for propaganda. Oh well, not every mother is a mother, not every wife is a wife, and some wives are knives. Yvonne, from that podcast, you showed how low and senseless you are. You know some Nollywood girls are used to becoming second wives from snatching people’s husbands, so it is normal to them; else, how can a woman that sucked her mum’s breast for 9 months talk like this. Now, you are writing nonsense Epistles, numbskull upon say you don old for Nollywood you no blow, still no get sense. Abeg shift make I see human beings”.
Recall that Yvonne Jegede had weighed into Angela Okorie’s beef with Mercy Johnson. Angela had called out Johnson, stating that it was time up for her. She accused her mother of being a witch and claimed the actress’ mother was fond of tying people’s destinies and questioned what would become of those whose destinies her mother tied up since she is now dead.
Yvonne’s PR, Sam Olatunji, had defended Mercy as he pondered on how Angela concluded that Mercy Johnson’s mother was a witch if she wasn’t one herself. He admonished her fans to check up on her as he believed she was having a mental breakdown
In his comment section, Yvonne agreed with him as she noted how Angela doesn’t see anything wrong in herself.
