Veteran actor, Bolaji Amusan better known as Mr Latin on Monday afternoon faced some challenges while trying to access Murphy Afolabi’s burial venue.
According to Punch Newspaper, the veteran was prevented from entering the burial venue by some youths.
This incident happened in Mopelufa, Ikorodu area of Lagos State where the late actor would be laid to rest.
According to reports, the youths had demanded Mr Latin settle them before they allow him access to the burial ground.
The actor cum President of the Theatre Arts and Movies Production Association of Nigeria was said to have arrived at the location around 3:00 pm
Murphy Afolabi set to be buried today in Ikorodu
Kemi Filani reported earlier in the day that contrary to report that Murphy Afolabi would be buried in Osogbo, the actor was to be buried at his residence in Ikorodu.
In an Instagram post made by his junior colleague, Bimpe Akintunde, the movie star would be buried at his residence in Ikorodu at noon.
Bimpe Akintunde urged his colleagues, associates, friends, fans, and lovers to pay their last respect to the actor who she described as a legend.
Bimpe Akintunde added that his death is still unbelievable but they can’t question God.
“Thank you all for the condolences messages. This is to invite the General Public, Colleagues, Associates, Friends, Fans, and Lovers of Late Murphy Afolabi to Mopelufa Aleke, from Ikorodu garage to Adamo along Ijebu Ode Enter from Aleke Bus Stop then ask of Mopelufa time 12 pm where his Remaining body will be laid to Rest today.
Pls let’s come out in masses to give our Last Respect to this Legend… It’s still unbelievable But who are we to Question GOD!! Orun Ire o Oga mi Omo Fatunbi!!!”.
Videos that emerged captured the moment the actor’s corpse was transported in a coffin to Ikorodu, where he would be finally committed to mother earth.
