Fast-rising Nollywood actress, Chioma Okoye has reiterated that they are limits to what she can do for the camera. In a recent interview, the light-skinned diva revealed the kind of roles she would reject no matter the enticing fee.
She says, “Being stripped naked in any form or being kissed horribly, I can’t take that Or my obituary posters made while am still alive or acting inside a coffin. Ha! I can’t. Well, I am notm not saying I can’t get kissed because I think that’s mostly what they act these days but scripts should be given days or weeks before acting. So, if I go through it and see that it’s not what I can do, I will reject it outrightly. I don’t need to come to the location then in the middle of acting den I refuse, No! Another major issue I have in Nollywood is requests from randy producers. They come Indirectly though, but I am no longer a child, I should be able to tell what a man wants. Asking you to be his girlfriend and still tells probably hundreds of girls the same thing as well I guess,” she lamented.
As a very beautiful diva, Miss Okoye noted that coping with men’s sexual harassment has not been easy at all, “Especially during my stay in Abuja. It was hell, it’s like everybody wants the same thing, especially when it comes to me, at a point, it became a prayer for me, that people should see the real me and nothing else. I don’t need just a man or husband, I need a best friend, someone that will love my family as his own, for example; my dad.”
