Asa Asika, the manager of music star Davido, has declared him the most influential person in Africa.
In an interview on the Star Network Pod, Asa said he doesn’t care what others think, but to him, Davido is the most influential person in Nigeria. He pointed out how, even in private spaces abroad, only a few are allowed in.
“Davido is probably… I don’t care what anybody says, I think David is the most influential person in Nigeria.
The only two guys allowed in that house were Chris Brown and Diplo”.
Asa also spoke about how he and his team consistently land brand deals for Davido while staying true to his identity. Asa clarified that nothing is random and no brand deal doesn’t align with Davido’s brand.
“I don’t think there’s a brand that has a deal with Davido today, that isn’t aligned with his brand – or that we haven’t found a way to align”.
In a recent interview, Davido had bragged about his wealth, praising himself for his work ethic. Davido said he regrets his hard work, noting that he has billions of dollars waiting for him if he decides not to work again. He stated that the odds against him are why he is still working.
Over the years, Davido has proven himself to be one of the greatest of his time. He has had quite several successful albums and shows that pulled in thousands of fans.
In September, last year, the singer achieved a major milestone in his career, as he made it to the Billboard Honor Roll of 2024 for topping the streaming charts. The singer was the only Nigerian singer to make it to the list, which was quite a big deal for any artist at all.
Davido had bragged as he reflected on his musical journey. In a tweet, he expressed that since he came into the game, nobody has had peace, as he admitted that he loved that effect.
Also, last year, the Grammy nominee noted how people always come together to discredit him. However, God was working overtime for him.
