Award-winning comedian Ayo Makun has penned a note to May Edochie, the estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie, as she marks her birthday today.
Taking to his Instagram page to share photos of the celebrant, he expressed gratitude to her for being a part of his movie, The Waiter. Wishing her a happy birthday, he cheered to another year of crushing goals and lifting spirits and prayed that she be blessed.
“Cheers to another year of crushing goals and lifting spirits! Let me also use this opportunity to thank you for being part of #thewaitermovie. Happy birthday, @mayyuledochie! I pray that God blesses you with all the good things in life―health, wealth, happiness, and success”.
Recall that following May’s separation from Yul, rumors had filtered the air that she was in an affair with AY, hence the reason she filed for divorce from Yul. The rumor peddler had claimed that AY was planning to marry the mother of four.
In January, Ayo Makun filed a petition to the police against him for his defamatory statements, which he claimed had hurt his over a decade reputation.
Ayo Makun and his family are some of the few celebrities who have been providing moral support for May, especially after the loss of her first son in March. When she turned a year older later that year, AY and his family treated May to a birthday dinner.
It is no longer news that Yul married his colleague, Judy, which led to his crashed marriage with his wife and the mother of his four kids, May Edochie. Following his second marriage, May filed for divorce from him, demanding N100 million from Judy, and had also filed a restraining order denying him access to their former marital home and gotten full custody of the kids.
