Elsie Okpocha, the estranged wife of Comedian, Basketmouth has sent a message to women about their cheating spouse.
The mother of two, who has since become a social media relationship expert, pointed out how it is never a woman’s fault when a man cheats on her. Explaining further, she noted how a woman can be beautiful, sexy, the best cook, be intelligent, and yet their spouse would still cheat on them.
Reemphasizing that it isn’t the woman’s fault, she admonished them to stop starving themselves or holding themselves guilty for their spouse’s fault.
“This is to women, you need to understand here that when a man cheats, 80% of the time, it has absolutely nothing to do with you. So don’t you ever beat yourself up again? You’ll be beautiful, sexy, know how to cook his favorite dishes, and be intelligent and smart and he will still cheat. So it’s not you, it is never you. So don’t cry in a room, or starve yourself of being sad. Don’t blame yourself for something someone else decides to do”.
Taking to the comment section, many questioned if infidelity was the cause of her crashed marriage.

In 2022, Basketmouth shocked many when he announced the end of his marriage with his beautiful wife, Elsie in a post on his Instagram page. He assured to peacefully co-parent with his wife in taking care of their children.
The actor who didn’t give reasons for the divorce pleaded with the public to respect their privacy.
Following the separation, Nigerians dug up old videos of the couple affirming their stance against divorce and stating that divorce isn’t on their table as they love each other.
The comedian bragged that there is no good marriage that ends in divorce hence he and Elsie can’t divorce.
Last year, Elsie issued a statement to marriage-shamers, cautioning them against shaming unmarried women. Elsie noted how ladies and women get shamed for late marriages and late childbirth.
The newly divorcee revealed that marriage isn’t easy as it requires hard work, despite it being beautiful.
