Former Big Brother Naija housemate Neo Akpofure has expressed his displeasure on the high cost of cooking gas in the country.
The reality TV star has diverted people’s attention to another important yet disturbing issue amidst break up and relationship stories since the start of September.
According to him, the country’s situation has gotten to a stage where the poor keep getting poorer as the hike in the cost of cooking gas has made them dump gas for the local stove.
He said the price of 1kg of gas is now #700 compared to the last time, which means a 12.5kg gas will amount to about #7000 or more depending on the location.
He wrote:
What’s going on in this country abeg? Person dey refill 1kg of cooking gas for N700 now. The poor keeps getting poorer.
