Big Brother Naija ‘shine ya eyes’ housemate, Nini Singh has reacted to rumours of her engagement to co-star, Saga Adeolu.
Kemi Filani reports that news filtered online that the reality stars were engaged and about to tie the knot.
Taking to her Instagram story, Nini Singh showed off her hands, to debunk rumours of the engagement. Nini showed off her wedding finger which had no ring on it. This clearly confirms that the reality star isn’t engaged.
Saga Adeolu and Nini’s relationship
Recall that Saga and Nini met on the hit reality show, Big Brother Naija, where they struck a close friendship.
Since leaving the reality show in 2021, the co-stars have continued to spark dating rumors.
Fans of former the reality stars reacted after a lovey-dovey video of the duo surfaced online.
This came after Nini knocked a troll who questioned the identity of her boyfriend, who was like an anthem on her lips during the BBNaija show.
A video of the reality stars which emerged online captured them playing together like something was already brewing between them.
Reacting to the video, some netizens claimed that Nini and Saga might be dating but still want to make it a private affair and anticipate when they would make it official.
Nini meets Saga’s father
To further fuel relationship rumours, Nini had met with Saga’s father for the first time and was elated.
His father was equally excited to meet the girl, Nini who has made his son’s heart yearn for love which got him mercilessly dragged on social media.
In the video, Nini alongside Queen was spotted hugging Saga’s father while exchanging pleasantries with him.
Meanwhile, some Nigerians had tagged the video as a low key introduction as Saga’s father made the interaction engaging.
Saga addresses rumoured relationship with Nini
However, in an interview, Saga debunked the impression people had, that he was crazily in love with Nini.
He openly confessed that he doesn’t love Nini; adding that they are just friends with no stringed attached.
Asked if he was really head over heels in love with Nini, he said, “Depends on what you mean by love. It’s a word that I’m very careful with. Remember, love is a strong word. We are still friends. We never had that conversation of dating each other and so I never thought about it (dating her).”
On what he thinks of Nini always mentioning that she had a boyfriend, Saga said he never heard her say that, “Between Nini and I, she didn’t need to keep mentioning that she had a boyfriend. Maybe she was having that conversation with other housemates under different circumstances but between her and I, we had that unspoken understanding that she had a boyfriend outside the house. I am pretty sure that I never did anything that made her have to “constantly remind me” that she had a boyfriend outside.”
