Nollywood actress, Beverly Naya has joined forces with Ruth Kadiri to slam Ekiti Chef, Chef Dammy for contending with Hilda Baci.
Kemi Filani reported last month that Hilda Baci made headlines after she broke the record for the longest cooking category of the Guinness World Record.
Chef Hilda had initially wanted to cook for 88 hours, but she surpassed the time she set for herself as she cooked for 100 hours.
Barely a month after, one Ekiti Chef is trying to compete with her. Chef Dammy, as she is known, has already cooked for over 13 hours.
Taking to the micro-blogging platform, Beverly Naya expressed displeasure at people who lack originality.
According to her, they should figure out what makes them unique and ride their wave, not someone else’s.
“Really can’t stand when people lack originality. Figure out what makes you unique and ride your own wave, not someone else’s”.
She reiterated when engaging with a fan, “That’s the thing about life, an imitation will always remain an imitation”.
Ruth Kadiri slams Ekiti Chef for trying to break Chef Hilda Baci’s 100-hour cook-a-thon record
This is coming after Ruth Kadiri slammed Chef Dammy for not allowing Hilda Baci to enjoy the euphoria of her win.
She mentioned how many Nigerians don’t think for themselves but wait for others to do and then jump on the wave.
“They won’t think for themselves but the moment you do it….. Every one starts realizing they can do it too. They can’t even wait for her euphoria to settle. Meetnigerians my people”.
Hilda Baci breaks Guinness World Record for ‘longest cooking time’
Hilda Effiong Bassey also known as Hilda Baci broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time in May.
The longest cooking hours was previously held by Indian Chef Lata Tondon, who cooked meals for 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds.
Hilda had achieved a 100-hour record time of marathon cooking. She was initially supposed to achieve 88 hours.
The cook-a-thon took place at Amore Gardens, Lekki, where supporters gathered to cheer her on.
If certified after the 100th hour, she will be displacing the current world record holder, Lata Tondon, an Indian chef who achieved the feat in 2019 with 87 hours 45 minutes record uninterrupted cooking.
