Nollywood actress, Bimbo Afolayan has penned an emotional note to her daughter, Aliyah as she turns 10 today.
In a lengthy post on his Instagram page, Bimbo Afolayan described her daughter as a true blessing in her life and she is grateful to God for the gift of her.
She noted how a decade ago, her daughter came into the world and brought so much joy and love with her.
She stated that she can’t forget when the doctor told her to look at her baby, and she held her. She revealed that she shed tears of joy after so much pain mixed with the joy of seeing her firstborn child.
10 years later, she is proud of who her daughter has become and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.

Happy 10th birthday my amazing Aliyah.
You are a true blessing in my life and I thank GOD every day for the gift of you.
A decade ago, you came into the world and brought so much joy and love with you.
I can’t forget when the doctor said, look at your baby, hold your baby.
That feeling, that very warm tears of joy that comes after so much pain mixed with the joy of seeing my firstborn child.
Ten years already? It seems just like yesterday you were learning to how to walk and talk.
I am so proud of the person you have become and can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.

In a previous post, Bimbo Afolayan reflected on her labor experience while celebrating her daughter’s birthday.
Taking to her Instagram page, Bimbo stated that 10 years ago, she was in the labor room screaming and shouting.
Fast forward to now, her daughter is hitting two digits.
Expressing gratitude to God, she wrote,
“On this day 10 yrs ago I was screaming and shouting. I was in labor. Looking back on that journey I am grateful and blessed. Aliyah is 10″.
