Popular Nigerian filmmaker, Biodun Stephen has recounted how her mother was murdered by a drunk driver.
The award-winning film director, via her Twitter page, revealed that she drove past where her mother was killed and much has changed as the building, the car rammed into, still stood only with a different color.
She admitted that she is still hurt, but grateful for the journey this far.
Remembering the painful death, she recounted how 23 years ago, a drunk driver ran into her mother and got away with murder.
“Today, I drove past where my dear mother was killed. Much has changed but the car rammed her into still stood, only different in colour. Hurt but grateful for the journey this far. 23 years ago, my mother was killed by a drunk driver, and he got away with murder”.
Many took to her comment section to sympathize with her, with some recounting their own experience.

Three years back, Biodun Stephen had fed hundreds of children in remembrance of her late mother.
The filmmaker had expressed her happiness in feeding over 250 children in honor of her mother Ibironke who died on November 5, 2000.
Sharing a photo of her mother, she stated that it was the last picture they took together as she narrated how she died.
