Big Brother Naija Season 2 first runner-up, Bisola Aiyeola, has recounted her pre-fame life.
The single mother of one recounted how she had to depend on her neighbours for her to feed.
Bisola Aiyeola made this known as she gave unsolicited advice to her fans.
According to her, there is no award for suffering as she had once been there.
But today, she lives in comfort and can afford anything she desires to eat.
Bisola used her story to encourage her fans and followers not to give up and to reach for any level of wealth they desire.
She said,
“I just say let me drop this, it is unsolicited, but I said let me tell you guys something. I used to think like that before but not anymore. Firstly, there is no award for the best in suffering. I can tell you that I have been extremely poor, poor in the sense that I can’t feed myself. I literally have to wait for neighbours to cook so I can greet them and be on the side where I can afford to purchase any kind of food that I like to eat. Comfort is beautiful; comfort is essential for you mentally; it puts your mind at ease and at peace. If after comfort you decide to go for luxury, it is beautiful, don’t let anybody make you feel bad for desiring luxury things”.
Kemi Filani news recalls Bisola Aiyeola had opened up on the challenges of being a single mother and how her wedding didn’t hold after the marriage proposal.
In an interview with Taymesan for his Tea With Tay podcast, Bisola Aiyeola said she wanted to have babies now, but lowkey dreaded it due to her tough pregnancy at age 23.
Bisola Aiyeola said her baby daddy was excited with the news of her pregnancy, which made him propose to her. Still, their wedding never happened due to some issues in their relationship.
According to Bisola Aiyeola, nursing her baby was a huge challenge as she fed her with garri and used her mom’s old scarves, gentle iron and Buba as diapers.
“There was a time I was feeding my daughter garri. I was feeding my baby garri. Like we will allow the garri soak. We didn’t have diapers, we would have to use my momsy’s old scarves, her gele, buba and iro, use am do napkin. Then cut polythene bag into X shape and tie so she can use and sleep. This was 2009/2010. She was still a baby not even talking yet. We will wait for the garri to swell, then get like N10 jagu, shake it, mix it inside. Feed her. You will not know that this child it’s garri we’re feeding her. I’m telling you. God really hid my shame with my daughter”.
