Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma has written a note to himself.
Taking to his Instagram page, he revealed that he counted to ten and took a deep breath, but he lost his temper. He said he tried resisting temptation, but temptation refused to resist him, and he tried practising what he preaches, but what he preaches is an acquired taste.
Bovi said society shaped him, versus being born innate, and the winner is a scrambled him. He noted how he is half body, half spirit, a hybrid of good and evil and a blend of pain and pleasure.
He believed that maybe he compares too much, and all that he has been searching for is within, whether good or bad, black or white, rivers or deserts; they can’t exist without each other.

Maybe I compare too much. Maybe all I’ve been searching for is within; good, bad, black, white, rivers, oceans, and deserts; can each exist without the other?

Earlier this year, Popular comedian and actor Bovi detailed how he survived a spiritual attack by the Grace of God, from two powerful enemies. He disclosed that he thought he could go through life without having enemies, but he learned the hard way. He said that his male enemy suffered from the spirit of covetousness, as everything he owned, the enemy wanted, while his female enemy suffered from the spirit of jealousy, that whatever he aimed to get, she would kill to have it.
In other news, Bovi had reacted to a viral video of a Catholic Priest knocking one of his altar boys. He expressed how livid and miffed he was at the rate at which most forms of abuse go unchecked in Nigeria. He noted how the Priest described his actions as “normal correction”, and the boy’s father said he would have blamed the priest if he didn’t knock him. Raising questions at the priest, the comedian avowed that knocking a child in the head unprovoked is a violent and criminal act.
Last year, in the wake of the viral Lead British school bullying video, Bovi expressed joy that we still have well-raised children in Nigeria as he expressed his admiration for the victim. Addressing the video of her relative slapping her bully, he expressed displeasure at their behavior but noted that her guardian did it out of fury.
