Hollywood star actor, Brad Pitt has revealed that he delved into alcoholism when his ex-wife Angelina Jolie filed for divorce.
The 55-year old actor made this known in an interview with New York Times.
According to him, he was surprised that the people in the rehabilitation group he joined didn’t pass his story to news tabloids.
“I had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privilege,” Pitt said.
“You had all these men sitting around being open and honest in a way I have never heard. It was this safe space where there was little judgment, and therefore little judgment of yourself. It was actually really freeing just to expose the ugly sides of yourself and there’s great value in that” he said.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finalized their divorce in September 2016.
