It is exactly a year since Nollywood actress, Bukola Awoyemi popularly known as Arugba lost her mum.
According to the actress, she would have celebrated her mother’s birthday yesterday if she was still alive.
In a long write-up via her Instagram page, she emphasized that she pities her father who lost his best friend of over forty years to the cold hands of death recently.

“You would have added another year to your years today if you were still in this sinful world with us, mamami, mama Oluwabukola, you are so missed, in all ramifications of my life. I see you missing, I want u back here, in all that has to do with me, and I have not found a replacement, no one, can act like you, no one… Mamami, it’s going to be seven months since you left, and I haven’t stopped missing you, I see you, I sense you around me, mummy, I laugh, I gist, I work and in d midst of all of these, I sneak into d toilet to cry, on location I run into my car to weep, every time I imagine you saying sorry, I come out pretending all is well.
“Every situation reminds me of you. Your lovely twins won’t stop asking questions, in their voice; “mummy, it’s taking too long for grandma Ilorin to come back” they miss your songs, they miss your lively happy self, they miss the evening stroll down the estate street in Ibadan with you. .. Your sweet husband misses you; I pity my sweet dad, being alone without his best friend of over 40 years… Mummy, a lot has happened, I always want to pick up my phone and tell u, all I end up doing is cry endlessly, because I can’t call u no more, but I know u know, … Yes I’m crying again even as I write this piece. You were a mother to all, to d needy and helpless… Mama Bukola, every day I want u back, right now I want u back, life without a mother is difficult, yes no one can be my mum but my sweet mummy, mama Oluwabukola.” (sic)
