Nollywood actress, Bukunmi Oluwasina is celebrating her 34th birthday today and the movie star has received on how her parents thought she was a boy.
In a lengthy post, she noted how on her birthday eve 34 years back, her mother was already in labor and was on her way to the hospital with a bag filled with baby items and male clothes, as she was told she was expecting a boy. Her father on his part, was also making plans on how to arrange for the cow he would kill for her naming ceremony, thinking he was going to have a son.
Unfortunately, she has always been a joke from day one and had left her parents shocked when she came out as a girl. Bukunmi made it known that it was right from her mother’s womb, she has always been living a private life.
The mother of one took time to grieve her father as she noted how he wouldn’t be calling her to wish her a happy birthday.
“So, on this day, many years ago, around this time, history has it that, my mum was already in labour. On her way to the hospital, with a bag filled with baby items and cloths she had bought for her incoming baby boy, as she has been told.
My dad was already making plans on how to arrange for the cow he would kill for naming. Man couldn’t wait to meet his first son.
Ladīes and gentlemen, I have been a joke from day one.
O shock won bakan.

Yeah, it’s few hours to my day.
Dad, I know you won’t be calling again tonight as usual.
I would have loved to however, just be saying amen to your past prayers from you, for my past birthdays in my head,

In another post, she expressed gratitude to her Maker for another year of Grace around the sun.

A day before her birthday, Bukunmi had received an unusual birthday gift as she reunited with her Secondary school friend after 20 years apart.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, she disclosed that she had made a promise to her friend, which she failed to keep after she changed school. However, after 20 years, they reunited, leaving Bukunmi Oluwasina emotional. She stated that the reunion feels like another birthday gift.
Last year, Bukunmi had left some of her fans concerned after she surprised them with her dying wish.
The movie star stated that when she grows old and is eventually about to die, she wishes her last words would be that she left millions of dollars somewhere.
In other news, Bukunmi made the list of 100 most impactful people in Africa, alongside senior colleagues such as Richard Mofe Damijo, Kunle Remi and Kunle Afolayan.
The mother of one shared the news on her Instagram page with her delighted fans and colleagues, who cheered her on her success.
